2017 Proxemics by Hannah ThompsonThompson has created colorful and discomforting shapes and will activate them with performances of soft sculpture wearables.
The sculptures are membranes to be resisted against, barriers to be broken through both separating and connecting people. The sculptures have bodily connotations challenging the ideas of proximity. This work will question how our bodies exist in physical space and reframe everyday interactions. About the Artist and Performer Thompson’s work questions human connectivity through the exploration of wearable fabric sculptures, holding a space that challenges social boundaries and our interaction with space. Thompson tours nationally.
