Pacific Avenue, is the home to a wide spectrum of activities and events over the course of the year. From public meetings on crucial issues or projects, to summer camps for youngsters, to free tax return assistance for working people, to cultural and workforce development programs, the Center fills a need unmet by other facilities in the area. Built as a United Methodist Church in 1898, the Center was recently retrofitted with new heating, cooling, flooring, electrical and window systems, thanks to a loan from Landmarks Community Capital Corp. The BGC’s Board of Directors meets the 2nd Monday of every month in the main hall, and its meetings are open to the public.
