Classical music meets retro gaming! The Dorothy Matrix 8-bit Orchestra features drag queen Dorothy "Dot" Matrix conducting an orchestral concert featuring selections ranging from Mozart to Prokofiev. The orchestra is 8 vintage Nintendo Game Boys. Dorothy presses the Start buttons and the music begins – in a surreal combination of performance art, electronic music, and synchronized light.
About the Company As Sloopygoop, Andrew Davis took 3rd place in season 3 (2016) of Philadelphia's "Mr. Everything" variety competition, becoming known for his inventive performances using Game Boys and accordions. His partner Cory Kram is known in Philadelphia for her absurd performances combining pop culture and weird costumes. In 2016, for the Scranton Fringe Festival, they presented the Dorothy Matrix 8-Bit Orchestra for the first time, with great success.
