2018 Bounder the Rescue Dog by Puppets in Performance“Bounder the Rescue Dog” is a light-hearted 40-minute puppet comedy. Kyle is a hyperactive boy, and his mother is having a hard time getting him to calm down. Bounder is a street dog, abandoned by his family. When these two find each other, they learn about love and loyalty. Appropriate for all ages, the show contains humor, action, and original songs. About the Company Puppets in Performance, founded by director Darlene Fedele Thompson in 2011, features original stories, songs, and puppets. The troupe has performed at various venues in the Pittsburgh area for the past three years; in 2017, they appeared at the Pittsburgh Fringe Festival, Maker Faire, the Bellevue Farmers’ Market, Unity in the Community, and the Glitter Box Theatre, as well as a number of open mics. Thompson has 19 years of experience with puppets. She earned an MFA in playwriting from Hollins University, and has performed hundreds of times in 15 states. Her passion is making people laugh.
