2020 Registrations are open, and venues are now allowed to book shows.

Step 2: Finding a Venue: Some venues have signed up, some are still signing up, but everyone is now allowed to start negotiating with venues.  If you have applied we are passing your show information to venues we think will fit the logistics of your show.  Some venues will still need more time, and we are always looking for more venues. We are also assembling a list of venues that have already signed up, and will have that up soon.  (We think we'll have a much larger list in a few days, as we are waiting on a few venues.)

Step 3: Registration.  Because we know this is a new system for some venues, and relatively new for others, we will allow shows to register their shows before the January 15th early deadline discount even if they don't have a venue yet.  To make this work, we are offering refunds for just the registration fee up to January 20th, for those unable to find a venue - assuming you put in a good effort to find a venue.

If you want to register - the application link is here (Make sure you applied before completing registration!):

Meet our Featured Visual Artist for 2019
David C. Mueller

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Currently working and residing in Pittsburgh, PA, born and raised in Wisconsin, David is a cheese-eating, beer-drinking and overall working-class kind of artist.

Primarily using found wood as painting surfaces, David creates work that focuses on storytelling, showcasing the themes of an individual raised on Saturday morning cartoons, inspired by the day to day and grounded in traditional painting and printmaking techniques.

David has successfully exhibited his work both locally and internationally and has most recently had his work featured in two art publications, “Pikchur” and “CreativeBloch.”

“The yarns I spin are for all. They’re there in an attempt to interweave audiences
with a smile and illustrate the importance of art in our everyday lives.”

You'll see his "“Love & Language Barriers,” Acrylic on Found Wood on the cover of our printed brochure, our posters, our buttons, and our website.  If you want to see more of his work, his work will be hanging in the LevelUp Studio, and he will be having an open house during our festival on Friday at 7pm  to 9pm at LevelUp Studios.

Pittsburgh Fringe Manifesto

(For the visually impaired, the video above is mostly pictures from past festivals - primarily our first year - with some text.  The text reads as follows: Pittsburgh Fringe Manifesto, We believe the arts should be for all, The Fringe community can learn from each other, Together we are stronger.  Pittsburgh Fringe #makeityourfringe)

FYI: This is a video from our 2nd year.  So it is here mostly for nostalgic purposes! The #makeityourfringe hashtag is not our main hashtag anymore.  We prefer that you use #pghfringe now!  Thank you!    /
